When it comes to hiring team members, the questions of who should you hire, what should their benefits be, are they 1099 contractors or W-2 employees, and so on can quickly make your head spin! After hiring hundreds of people, I’ve learned a thing or two about hiring best practices, and I’m answering all those questions in this episode!

Resources mentioned:

Some key takeaways from this episode include:

  • Hire slowly. It’s so important to pause, create an approval process for justifying bringing on a new hire, and get super clear on what the role and responsibilities will be before you start looking at candidates.
  • A big mistake I see is when private practice owners hire without being prepared for the cost of payroll. Having strong finances and making sure your practice is performing well first is crucial to staying profitable after making a new hire.
  • Be picky. Just because you need a role filled ASAP, doesn’t mean you should rush the process. Talk to their previous employers, give them test projects, and take your time making the decision.

It’s time to take back your practice and own your CEO status. On the CEO Conversations™ podcast, we will cover the business side of your practice with actionable takeaways for you to implement in your practice. We will discuss: marketing, team building & leading, finances, operations & systems, YOU and everything in between.
